Drift Creek Falls: A Suspension Bridge and Coastal Waterfall
Siuslaw National Forest, Lincoln County
About Drift Creek Falls
Drift Creek Falls combines two of Oregon's outdoor highlights in a single hike: a 240-foot suspension bridge swaying 100 feet above a forested canyon, and a 75-foot waterfall plunging into a pool at the bridge's end. Located in the Siuslaw National Forest near Lincoln City in Lincoln County, this is one of the most unique waterfall hike experiences on the Oregon coast.
The trail descends through old-growth coastal forest of Sitka spruce, western hemlock, and bigleaf maple — a landscape of deep green ferns and rain-polished moss. The suspension bridge arrives without warning around a final bend and the view down the canyon and across to the falls is immediately thrilling. This is one of the best family hikes on the Oregon coast.
