Kanarraville Falls: A Slot Canyon Waterfall in Iron County
Kanarraville, Iron County
About Kanarraville Falls
Kanarraville Falls, also known as Kanarra Creek Falls, offers one of the most unique waterfall hiking experiences in Utah — a slot canyon approach where you wade knee-deep through Kanarra Creek between soaring Navajo sandstone walls before arriving at a series of stunning waterfalls. The orange-and-red slot canyon walls close to just a few feet wide in places, with the sky a thin blue ribbon above.
Located in the small town of Kanarraville in Iron County — just minutes from Cedar City — the hike offers a taste of Zion-quality slot canyon scenery without the crowds and shuttle requirements of the national park. The canyon is managed by the town of Kanarraville, which charges a small permit fee and limits daily visitors to protect the fragile environment.
