The Nature Trail Loop at Fontainebleau State Park winds through a magnificent canopy of ancient live oaks draped in Spanish moss, offering one of the most enchanting short walks on Louisiana's North Shore. This easy 1.5-mile circuit hugs the edge of a quiet lagoon where birding opportunities abound throughout the year. Great blue herons, wood ducks, and migratory songbirds are regularly spotted along the water's edge.

The trail surface is packed dirt and is generally flat, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
